Abby the Racing Car Driver
I was commissioned to illustrate a children’s book written by a work colleague, Emma Driscoll, for her little niece Abby to give to her as a Christmas present. 100 brownie points for this Auntie I’d say! Anyway I will eventually get around to photographing my recent work professionally but for now here are some instagram sneak peeks into how it went.
DIY Christmas signage
Friday was a much-needed quiet night in my cosy apartment cuddling up with Trousers the cat. Whilst we were watching ‘My Week with Marylin’ I got crafty with some type, which I printed out on some 190g white lazer at 10% grey, hand-cut and then applied glue all over them so I could sprinkle them with glitter! The garland is festive and pretty.

Enex 100 Christmas Tree Project
I am excited to be one of 4 designers creating a tree to be installed in the Enex 100 building in Perth. The trees will be auctioned off with the proceeds going to a charity of our choice. I am doing my tree on behalf of the Cat Haven WA and there will be a people’s choice award so make sure you head down and make your vote! The installation will be up in Enex on November 18th. I’m going to be posting my work in progress so stay tuned for more pictures.
Potting around the house
One good thing about working full time is weekends. Oh how I love the weekend. Every now and then I get to do something to improve our little love nest and recently I did up a dresser. I found it abandoned on the side of the road but all it really needed was a sand, prime and paint and now it’s a sexy black number with gold handles. Here’s a few of my favorite corners:

Wedding Invitation Design
My first ever wedding invitation design was a success! This was a dream design job I’ve been wanting to do for ages and when my Uncle decided to re-marry it was the perfect opportunity to try it out! The floral illustrations are of the pink and white roses the couple plan to have on their big day. The back of the invite features a little story of how they met and how their love was rekindled years and years later. Nyaw
sweet! Bring on the weddings! Can’t wait to do some more.
